About this Course:
Introduction to Herb Gardening is a 30 minute introductory course for novice and seasoned gardeners to review the steps to starting a successful herb garden. This course is made up of 6 modules chocked full of interactive features meant to enhance learning including video, interactive content and quizzes.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- List several reasons to start a garden
- Identify benefits and barriers to the different types of gardening (container vs in-ground)
- Be confident about what supplies are needed to start a simple herb garden
- Know what, when and how to plant 5 starter herbs: Basil, Mint, Parsley, Rosemary and Thyme
- Will understand how to deal with common garden pollinators and pests
- Be able to harvest and use the herbs grown in their garden
