Family Pizza Night

Last night we enjoyed a family pizza night! This is one of my favorite things to do as a family because not only do we all get to enjoy spending time together, we actually all work together to build the pizza which ensures EVERYONE in the family will eat it! Have I mentioned yet that this pizza is soooo much better than the kind you order from the store.

img_5081We start by making the crust. I use this 6-ingredient Bobby Flay recipe which is super easy to follow. Since the crust is made from scratch and takes about an hour to proof I usually do this part on my own before getting the rest of the family involved. (This is a perfect nap time activity if you have small ones that still take naps).

Once the dough is ready, I have small child help me spread it out into position. Since I am not great at making circles, we like to cover a cookie pan (that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray) to make rectangle pizzas. Then I have small child and husband help me put on the toppings. Once it is all together we throw the pizza in the preheated oven at 475 degrees for about 12 minutes.

Please check out the video below to see it all in action!
